Redwoods to Rockies is an Idaho-built Western outdoors platform focused on standards, field-tested knowledge, and a working network. It’s not a “secret spot” site and it’s not a gear blog — it’s a practical home for how we camp, fish, and travel across the West.

Why It Exists

Western public lands are under pressure. Information is scattered, and a lot of advice is either unsafe, unrealistic, or written by people who don’t actually spend nights out there. This platform is built to be useful: gear that holds up, habits that keep places open, and guidance that helps beginners and veterans alike.
