Redwoods to Rockies uses a mix of (1) public-domain images, (2) Creative Commons–licensed images, and (3) images provided directly by their owners (including user-submitted listings). Where attribution is required, we provide it below in a durable format.
Each entry includes: the file/page link (source), the creator/author (if provided), and the license. If we edited an image (crop/resize/compress), that is considered a “modification” under many CC licenses and is noted as such.

License Notes
Creative Commons licenses may require (a) attribution, (b) a license link, and (c) an indication of changes. For ShareAlike (BY-SA) works, derivatives must be shared under the same or compatible license. We provide license links in the attribution table above.
Public domain (PD) images can generally be used without permission, though courtesy credits are still good practice. Some PD determinations may be jurisdiction-specific (for example, PD in the United States but not elsewhere). Source pages may include territory-specific notes.
We may crop, resize, or compress images to improve loading speed and layout. These edits do not change ownership, and (where required) are treated as modifications for attribution purposes.
User-Submitted Listings
Businesses, outfitters, guides, and creators may submit their own photos/logos for listings. By submitting images, the submitter represents that they own the image or have permission to publish it on Redwoods to Rockies and to grant RTR a non-exclusive right to display it for directory and promotional purposes.
If you are a rights holder and believe your work appears on RTR without permission, contact us at mountain.dog.enterprises@gmail.com with: (1) the URL, (2) proof of ownership, and (3) the action you want (credit correction or removal).
Trademarks & Third-Party Brands
Brand names, logos, and product names may be the trademarks of their respective owners. Their appearance on RTR is for identification and informational purposes only and does not imply endorsement or affiliation unless explicitly stated.
